To receive DAB radio do I need a special aerial, or will an aerial advertised as an FM aerial work?

I have a DAB digital radio, but the aerial snapped! I'm not sure what to buy as replacement. I've tried putting a bit of wire there but this does not pick up DAB.

No you don't need a special aerial for DAB. Aerials will pick up any kind of signals - you do need a wideband aerial for digital tv but that's because TV aerials have poles that are spaced at intervals according to wavelengths. Your best bet for dab is to get a telescopic aerial like the ones that used be attached to FM radios. That way you can extend, contract and turn it to get the best reception.

Hope that's useful.

You can try an FM aerial... I can't see why it wouldn't work...

Why don't you go to an electrical shop and see if they sell DAB aerials, they can't be that expensive?
