how can i find out if my computer has a tv tuner?

i have a brand new hp windows vista computer how can i find out if i have a tv tuner

ok just follow this:

CLICK Start then COMPUTER and the system properties(u will find system properties in the tab above)

in the left pannel click DEVICE MANAGER

a window will pop up just press allow or continue

click on the + sign next to sound, videos and game controller

u should see somethin mentioning a tv tuner there if not then u dont have one



types of tv tuners

1-HDTV HYbrid TV TUNER(ATSC/NTSC)

2-DVB-T TB Tuner (DVB-T)

3-DVB-T/ANALOG TV tuner (PAL+DVB-T)



u should find one of these if u dont then u dont have a tv tuner

Click start and you see that little search box right below All Programs and the icon start? Type in tv tuner. If it shows something else or says no results, then you don't have one. Most of the time you have to buy it

yourself, the computer doesn't usually come with it. I have an HP with Windows Vista and I don't have it so probably the chances of you having it are probably? I don't know.

A television tuner would not try this. What a television tuner does is assist you observe television on your pc, and checklist classes in basic terms like a DVR. which you would be waiting to end an identical DVR result and ditch the truthfully DVR.

If your asking, it doesnt. Or check the stickers on the monitor, check the control panel from start, look on the back of your tower and see if you have a slot filled with an antenna looking thing. Most likely you dont have one, it would have been an upsell item. If you bought it from a walmart then it doesnt have one.

Get a TV cable. If you find a big bar sticking out that the cable screws on to, you have one.
