How to set up a wireless security camera at my campsite?

We have a seasonal campsite where we have our travel trailer, and I would like to install a wireless security camera there so I can see the place when we aren't there-both for security purposes and to check on it after all the wonderful storms we've been having up here-you know, make sure it's still there after the latest tornado warnings and such. Everything I've read seems to say that in order to set up the camera, you must first hook it up to your pc and router. Our campground has wireless, but I don't have access to the physical router. Is there another way to set this all up, or does anyone know of a system that would work in this situation? Thank you for any help out there!

Hi ,



There are lots of ways to do this but you will need a permanent mains feed to your Camper. You will also need an internet connection to your van with a fixed I.P. address. If you don't have these you are not going to have your camera.

You will then need to pick your camera and network dvr. The dvr will take up to 4 camera's, make sure you get night vision camera's or you will see nothing during the hours of darkness. Also make sure they are wide angle 3.5mm and low LUX.



Once fixed you will be able to set your network up with details of your dvr and I.P address from your supplier. If you go down the computer route it gets more complicated.

If it is wireless with a regular WiFi password, you can use a Wireless-Ethernet bridge, such as the Netgear WNCE2001.
