Question:
Looking for PCB to mount a 7-segment LED (10-pin)?

I came across a small PCB deigned to mount a single-digit 7-segment LED. The board was about the same size as the LED. It was double-sided so I could solder the 8 wires from one side, then "plug" in the display and solder it from the other side. I think it was commercially made (for a 0.56" LED) and I am looking for another one, and also one for a smaller 0.39" LED (Kingbright SA39-11PBWA/A). I do not know the correct terminology ...whether it is a socket, pcb, module, etc. Can anyone point me to a source? Thanks!

For a one off, just use a perf board.

For production, make that PCB as part of your PCB construction.

You will need a DIP (Dual In-Line Pins) socket, but first you will need to measure the pin to pin spacing (which is typically 0.1") and then the Row-to-Row spacing.

The socket also has a height that may matter to you so you will need to know that as well.

DIP sockets are readilly available from
