I'm looking to convert VHS home movies to DVD and also do minor editing (i.e cutting out weird scenes of our floor and camera bag) I need something that can capture from a VCR or a camcorder. I have a pretty decent laptop with DVD burner and windows movie maker so editing software isn't an issue. I have already tried Pinnacles Dazzle and it is horrible with no tech support.(3 unanswered inquiries) so any info would be great!

I agree Dazzle and Roxio have terrible quality.

I had my home movies converted with a video transfer company called StashSpace. They have an online editor so you can combine footage across tapes and cut out bad stuff. You can get DVDs or just have the digital files sent back to you on a portable hard drive.

Check them out at http://www.stashspace.com or give them a call they have good support.

When you purchase Easy VHS to DVD, there is a slip that says "if you have Creator 2009, Ultimate, or Special Edition, do not install the software cause it will uninstall Creator. Use one or the other.

Roxio Toast works great for DVD creation.
