Best scanner to listen to NC Viper frequencies?

Hey everyone, I'm looking into getting a good police scanner that doesn't cost too much (under $200-300 preferably) to listen into the NC Viper frequencies. I live in Rockingham County if this helps at all. I've read that I need a digital trunking scanner, and read in some other places that I just need a digital scanner. Any help is greatly appreciated :)

You would need a digital trunking scanner as the VIPER system is a Motorola Type II Smartzone Omnilink P25 system http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=4087



Uniden and Radio Shack make great digital scanners.
