By double tapping the home button, supposedly you can turn off auto rotation. But with the iPhone 5c it doesn't work that way. It just shows all your open apps when you double tap. Can somebody please tell me how to turn off auto rotation? Thank you

Swipe up from the bottom to pull up Control Center. Tap the lock icon with the arrow. Locks the rotation. That was a change from iOS 6 to 7 & since the 5c launched with iOS 7 this is the only way.

not sure if it is the same or not, but on my dads ipad (with iOS 6) double press the home button you app switcher menu will pop up, swipe from left to right in the menu you should see some play/pause ff/rw buttons, and to the left was a button with an arrow going in a circle. this is the auto rotate button. otherwise it should be in the settings under display or something. i dont use an iPhone so i can't help much. but it should be there somewhere.

Place your finger at the bottom of the screen (on top of the home button) and slide your finger upward. A little page thing will come up and all the way at the top right corner there is a lock and a rotation around it. Touch that and there you go!:)

Just scroll upward and you'll see the layout thing with your wi fi and Bluetooth buttons on there. On the upper right hand corner is the rotation button if you turn it on (by clicking it) then it should lock. You phone on portrait mode
