Question:
Will a CB/Ham radio base station antenna (such as Solarcon I-MAX 2000 24 ft) work on a mobile CB that is being used as a base station unit?

What I need to know is if the connecter on a CB/Ham base station antenna, ie the one mentioned parenthetically in my question, is the same type as on a standard mobile cb antenna. Will it connect to my mobile unit which I am using as a base station. You can look at the antenna I'm talking about here:

Thanks in advance for any info yoou can provide.

Will it work on a mobile CB? Or do you mean mobile ham radio? Either way, the answer is yes. Tune it for the CB band if you will be using it with a CB radio, and for 10 meters if you will use it as a ham radio. Either way, you should be able to use it as a ham antenna if you use an antenna tuner to match it to your ham rig. As a CB antenna hooked up to a CB, it shouldn't need a tuner, it should work directly. Check it with an SWR meter just to be sure it is tuned correctly. I have a similar setup where I use an old Shakespeare Big-Stick antenna for my CB, and then sometimes I use it as a 10 meter vertical antenna with my ham radio. It works well as a ham antenna. The difference in length between a CB antenna and a ham radio 10 or 12 meter is so sliight that many new antennas, especially mobiles, from what I have seen, have enough adjustment to set it up for any of the 3 bands. In the old days og CB, I used to get second-hand 10 meter antennas and then added a piece of threaded rod to make it long enough to use as a CB antenna!

Most antennas of that sort use the same type of connection,

commonly known as "UHF", or PL259 (male) and SO-238 (female).

Of course, most mobile antennas have a PL-259 on the cable,

whereas most base antennas have an SO-239 socket.

Yes, it will work. Read the Q&A's on Amazon. •5.1dBI Gain. Operates effectively on 6 through 20 Meter bands with a tuner, 10/11M without tuner. Also, the ground plane kit is optional.
