1.does your DVD player support data cd
,if it is data it will support open format
.
2. Was your disk finnalised (close track)
,compelsery for video disk not necessary if it reads data disk
.
3. in what software did u burn,Nero is ok,first try this software,then i will say you the best software for burning videos,because u need to know a lot about audio & video codes
.
4. what audio & video codec did u use,Does your player support DivX or Xvid
.
5. what is the video resolution,it should not be more than 720 x 576 ( other than if u have HD Player or Blueray Player )

6. Does your DVD support Multi Video standard(NTSC,PAL)
.
7. What is the frame rate (FPS) of Video, it should 25 for PAL & 30 for NTSC
.
8. What was the video bitrate, not more than 7000 kbps for avi.
12000 kbps for vob
what LCD TV you are going to check is it HD
if your TV is Full High Definition dont expert clarity in Standard definition video,for best quality use component video cabels
