The DCT700 has the same functionality of the DCT2500 including scaled video and other advanced guide features.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The DCT700 is controlled by the remote. The front panel has only two displays:
a light to indicate the unit is on and;
Sending a Hit
Sending a hit to the box (also known as “cold initialization,”), resets the DCT700 and erases everything in flash memory except the firmware.
Because the DCT700 has no front panel buttons, a Cold Initialization can be performed from the DAC 6000, remote control or Billing System, if supported.
To execute a cold initialization from a remote control:
Hold down any key on the remote control while disconnecting and reconnecting AC power to the DCT700. After booting up, the POWER LED will flash on the front panel.
1.Within 3 seconds, press the 3 key on the remote control. The POWER LED will flash at a decreased rate.
2.Within 3 seconds, press the 2 key on the remote control. The POWER LED will flash at an increased rate.
3.Within 3 seconds, press the 8 key on the remote control to initiate a cold reset.
During a cold initialization, if the appropriate remote control key is not pressed within a 3-second time period, the procedure does not begin and the DCT700 resumes normal operation.
