I want to be able to check my email, without using a computer. I also want to be able to use it on the go. I can't get a blackberry or itouch. Please help me find something that I can use. I want to be able to txt message friends but I don't have a phone and am not getting one, I currently txt through email. I'm pretty sure there isn't a portable txtter besides an itouch, so if i can get a device that receives email I can use it to txt my friends. Thanks so much. Sorry if this is a hard one.

However, instead of listing what you CAN' T Have, perhaps you can tell us how much you can afford.

Because, if you can't afford a "free" cell phone to do text messaging, I am not sure what else you can afford. You cant have Wifi and e-mail access for free.
