Ok I swear this is my last cb questions. Ok I have a 2014 nissan versa note. Any advice or tips one how I should run the antenna coax to inside of my car? Ok I dont wanna drill holes in my car. I want to have my cb in my car temperarily not perminent. Just for trips ect. If you had my car how would you run the coax to the outside? Also I have a k40 antenna rig with the m40 base so im planning on installing on the roof.

Also I want to know I bought a swr meter but for testing the antenna my meter has the 10w switch and 100w switch which one would be ideal? Im assuming 10watt but I really am not sure. Any advice?

Just run the coax any way that is easy...that is a mag mount antenna so you need not worry how the coax is run too much. Maybe along the floor and up the door frame? A bit of masking or duct tape will hold it in place where needed.

Use the SWR meter in the 10 watt range - it will be more accurate that way.

Ok I have an idea how to run it but how can I get the coax from inside the car to outside without drilling holes ir damaging coax.

When I was into CB I ran the coax through the trunk. I could close the trunk on the coax without damaging it. Try it on a piece of coax and see if works for you.

Run the co-ax through a door opening.

Unless the edge of the closed door is particularly close

to the body panels, roof, etc., there should be no trouble.

Use the 10 watt setting on the meter.

If you can find a local radio amateur

who owns an antenna analyzer,

ask for assistance with tuning the antenna.

There are also many other good reasons

to know such people...

I'm one of them (KJ6QKV).
