Recently my sound on my computer has been muffled with my headphones. It's muffled usually on websites..except myspace. It's watery sounding and muffled and low on media player. I know it's not my headphones because they are brand new. I thought it could be because sometimes i accidently rip my headphones from the headphone jack...and now the jack is slightly loose. But then that can't be it because last week the sound was perfect again..but now it's muffled, watery, and low again. What is it? And how can I fix it?

It is the output jack.Because the ground connector is broken the left and right signals are mixed in the headphones. You have to change the output jack. But first try to move the jack easy up and down and see if the sound come back.If so, then you have to redo the solders of the jack.(output jack where you use the headphones)

Male sure ypu push the plug all the way in. If still not working very very slowly take it out then put tape on the jack to the plug

See if your computer has any settings that have to do with speakers. What I mean is I have something called realtek audio, and it lets me switch between 5.1 or 2 speakers. I thought it was plugs for a while until I unplugged my speakers and plugged them back it and saw it was set for 5.1 instead of 2.0. (that s for when it goes through my receiver). Switched it and now it sounds fine

sparkling the foodstuff debris out of your audio equipment. Sorry, had to declare that and that i'm conscious that it wasn't humorous. Yeah, that is maximum possibly scratches on the CD if audio information sound good...
