After recently moving, I reconnected my dvd player to my plasma television. No changes were made to any settings (although some may have been reset when both were unplugged), but I can't seem to get my dvd player to play in color. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Try your cables in the back of the TV if you've put one in another socket you get a black and white picture. Pop into you local TV store and ask their opinion. also make sure you have the right region DVD for your player.

I agree with the others.

First, check your cables and make sure that everything is connected properly.

Second, use your remote to access your on-screen menu...possible that have made a selection by pressing a wrong button or someone playing with remote. (I once had my entire TV saying everything in Spanish, lol...all becase of a button).

Third...contact the manufacturer. They should be able to help you troubleshoot.

Fourth (depending on how much you paid for it)...take it in for repair or buy a new one. I don't think you will even get this far, but as cheap as some of them are, I would buy a new one.

Ok so you are using the cables that were used for the old dvd player. I am assuming that means yellow for video and red and white for audio. This type of cables are usually referred to as composite video cables. Thus you need to look for inputs on your new LG that are for composite video. Most likely they will be color coded yellow, red and white. While you don't state which model LG you have, there should be at least one set of inputs that will match.
