Indeed FaxZero works very well. I have used them many times.

You need to scan your pages in via your scanner/all-in-one machine and save the files in a for that that can be faxed. I save my scans in .pdf form using PDF creator (a free application), which allows me to keep a copy of the file in the computer.

Simply enter the fax number, upload the files you just saved, you can compose a basic cover page - then enter the "real person" code and sheezam!

You will receive an e-mail message that must be replied to for the fax to send. Click on the link in the message and your fax will send. Once received, you will receive a confirmation that the fax was transmitted.

Yes there are several steps, but once you get the hang of it - it works well.

Traditional faxes require the presence of a physical fax machine, whereas internet fax requires only a computer or handheld device with an internet connection. The end result is that you can send and receive data from wherever you are at your own convenience without paying fax fees at hotels. Plus, by having files transferred via the internet, you can avoid having your data lost at the machine, accidentally thrown away, left behind, or swiped by children. Online fax services are capable of sending and receiving multiple faxes at once, which makes this a far cry from the old way of doing things. No longer do you have to worry about accidentally leaving a fax behind, because you can access these files from the comfort of your smartphone or laptop while on the go.

Online fax services are very reliable when you compare it to things like email, cloud fax is significantly more secure. One of the many appealing factors of cloud fax is its inherent security.

Lots of online fax services like http://www.sfaxme.com also offer subscription options too and obviously there are no printing costs.
