I have a scanner but I'd like to get a CB radio, too. I'm wondering whether I'd need to buy another aerial, or whether I can just use my existing one.
One other question, do you know of any cheap but good CB Radio units?

You need one aerial for your scanner and another for your CB. The CB aerial has to be matched to the CB transceiver. http://www.aerialshack.com/sigma-venom-wave-high-gain-base-antenna-p-1453.html
The scanner aerial on the other hand should be as wideband as possible to cover the range of frequencies it can receive such as a discone antenna http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=discone+antenna&tag=googhydr-21&index=aps&hvadid=9008670286&hvpos=1t3&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1899635453527560667&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=e&ref=pd_sl_50uzgrxyqb_e
Uniden, Cobra and Midland are all decent CB brands and some of them are actually the same inside, it's just the bells and whistles that make the difference. You might want to check out your local Ca$h Converters to see if you can pick up a bargain but make sure the rig is FM for the European bands e.g. http://www.conrad-uk.com/ce/en/product/932838?WT.mc_id=googlebase&insert=8V&adcampaign=googlebase&CAWELAID=871651745

No, you cannot use a scanner aerial for a CB. You need a perfectly matched CB aerial made for a CB, then get it matched to your CB or you burn the finals out and make your CB nothing but a paper weight.

Yes, with a diplexer, but a transmitting antenna needs to be specifically made for the bands received and transmitted.
You are best to get separate antenna for CB and scanning.
