Sounds to me as though none of your DVD players can play the format of the episodes. What video format are you using? Most DVD players these days can play WMV and DivX as well as AVI files among others, but if your DVD player is an older model, it simply might not support those file formats. Generally speaking, the player will display the logos of the supported files it can play, on the front of the player, or failing that, the instruction manual should tell you what(if any) additional file formats it can play.

Basically, the message "Incorrect disc" says it all:

1) The DVD player can see the disc you put in and knows it is there

2) The DVD player cannot find any valid files to play on the disc

The other possibility, is that the episodes you have are copy-protected with some sort of digital-rights-management(DRM). If you burned the disc using Windows Vista(any version), it may have taken it upon itself to impose DRM weather you wanted it to or not. There is currently no easy way to disable DRM in Vista, and it is the bane of many computer users because of it. The DRM can also be part of the file itself, and this is especially true if you purchased the episodes on-line. Most episodic TV available via download websites, where you pay for the episode, are protected so you can only play the episode on the machine to which you downloaded it to.

I would also try putting the episodes in the root of the DVD, not within folders, as this just makes it harder for the player to find them during spin-up.

DVD format is VOB, you have to convert your video to DVD compatible video at first, otherwise standard DVD player can not read and play it. If you don't know how to do that, I'd recommend this all-in-one DVD Creator to you, I always use it to convert and burn movie to DVD to play on my home TV, it's easy to use and works pretty well, if you are interested in it, here is a step by step guide about how to use it.
