Transferring audio to cassette?

I’m trying to transfer audio to a cassette from my pc using an aux cord. It will work fine then suddenly stop. The tape just stops moving. Sometimes it will start again but mainly it will just stop all together. Any suggestions? I’m using a RadioShack CTR-121 cassette recorder.

Record it to a flashdrive

Possibly it is an old tape that is getting stuck as a result of being in a warped case. Take it out and tap it in the palm of your hand a few times, fast forward and rewind it. If still not running free then find another cassette.

Most likely, either the batteries are flat or you have it on some kind of "audio triggered" mode rather than simple manual record.
