I had a movie in avi. format so I converted it to mpeg2. Video and sound quality were perfect after the conversion. I used PowerProducer to make a simple menu and burn it. Took forever, but it finally finished.

Tried it in the DVD player. Video plays, but no audio. I'm not sure what to do. Please help.

Have you tried other DVD's to see if your DVD player audio works? Or did you check for embedded codes that make the DVD unable to produce sound from a standard DVD player. Simply, can the DVD player speak the same language as the home made DVD. More info. would help. Lots of possibilities.

You should burned your avi movie to DVD directly. When i want to watch movies downloaded from interenet on TV, I often burn them to DVD directly via Wondershare Video to DVD Burner. This software can burn any format video to DVD with high quality.

Moreover, I can edit the video including trimming/cropping/effect adjustment/adding dvd menu etc. freely before burning it. You may have a try.
