I bought the lifetime map update for my Nuvi 265W today. On my Garmin account, right next to the access code, it shows the "expiration date" as July 2011. What's going on?

One of two things could have happened.
1] You may have purchased a one time map update and you think you purchased a lifetime map update. Call Garmin tech support for clearification.
2] Your lifetime map update only expires when your Nuvi 265W dies or is thrown away, it is the life of your Nuvi 265W. There is no experation date for lifetime map updates. Again, contact your Garmin customer support for clearification.
Good luck

question as to nicely worth has been beforehand responded. so some distance simply by fact the XM site visitors is going, it calls for yet another form of account to get XM travellers, and at with the Garmin products that i've got appeared at it calls for a delegated reciever. (And it is now no longer affordable, $2 hundred if i do no longer ignore properly.) once you enroll in the server and have it billed Quarterly, it is $12.ninety 5 a month, and can drop as low as $9.ninety 9, paid ahead for 3 years.

Are you sure you clicked on the correct item on their web site? If I were you I would be the phone to Garmin support.
