I have a small quiet office and I do not want something too loud. Is it possible to compare decibels or is there are particular type I can find that are quieter?

I've actually had about 5 paper shredders over the years. I've tried Fellowes, Intimus, Dahle, HSM and have finally settled on Destroyit. As far as noise, they are really all about the same - around 60 to 70 decibels, which is about as loud as a normal conversation between two people.

A few small office models include the following

Destroyit 2360cc

Destroyit 2404cc

Destroyit 2501cc

Fellowes c120ci

Fellowes c220ci

Any of these models would work for you.

If you want quiet you need to look at a service.

I would say check with the manufacturer, they should have this information.

DestroyIt makes nice quiet ones and so does Kobra.
