kindle, landscape and portrait how to change ?

Had a kindle paperwhite for xmas and for some reason it has gone into landscape mode. How do I change it back to portrait mode, have checked the settings but can't find anything. thank you

Some books can force landscape mode.



The setting for Landscape mode is in the main menu. Tap the top of the screen to bring up the toolbar, tap the stack of lines icon (mean menu), pick/unpick Landscape mode



If the book you are reading forces landscape that may not work. I don't think authors should force fonts/format/orientation but I can see the point for some books with full page pictures (like if the pics are in landscape mode)

The option to change from landscape to portrait does not show up on my menu bar. Or under options. I was reading in portrait mode and it switched without my doing anything.

better watch a movie,than read a book.Of course,it is simpler to get a much better picture by watching the action(images),then browsing through all these portrayed words.
